Core Trait

*Name**: Description of the core trait
Ability levels cannot exceed the characters level in Core Trait

Enganarome / Mirage Knight / Lightcaster Mechanics

1. You learn “Shadows” that represent real things by scanning them with the lightcaster *or* by finding them in artefacts/nexi
2. The duration, accuracy, and difficulty of a casting depends on both the technology and the skill of the Enganarome
3. Illusions cannot initially harm a target directly; it requires the mid/high level hard-light technological ability
4. Shadows are not Intelligent unless paired with an Artilect and any actions must be defined by the Enganarome
5. The Lightcaster can only sustain a limited number of illusions simultaneously. This can be increased to a maximum.
6. Illusions can be static, such as an environmental mask (a facade over a room or building), or an object, or dynamic such as a creature or a person.
7. It is extremely difficult to make fully detailed humans. This is both a complexity constraint *and* a result of the keen human sense of faces.
8. Illusions do not work on Kaeki and most Heliar/Artilects. Bellator and Tamaa are also at an advantage to detect illusions due to their heightened senses (echolocation and emotional)

Idea: Spell-like abilities in the vein of Vancian magic? Specific Stored Shadows that enact a specific routine?
