Pre-requisites: 4 Grace, Combat 3, Tech 3, Possession of a Firearm, training at the the Dryllsh Academy in Cannich, Victra or training by a graduate of said academy.
Longshots are elite Victran sharpshooters known for their incredible ability to push the limits of first age firearms technology. Longshots have a complex reputation within Victra, both respected and feared for their abilities. Outside of Victra they are highly sought after as mercenaries, hunters, and guards against the wilderness. Becoming a Longshot requires considerable training in combat, technology, and tactics in order to take advantage of the terrifying power of the Canna.
Longshots are an elite soldiering class able to utilize a variety of advanced techniques to enhance the power of their already dangerous weapons. Longshots learn and practice these secret techniques at at the Dryllsh Academy or under the guidance of another Longshot. The deadliness of the Longshots is such that many groups seek them out and offer considerable reward for their service.
Longshots require a working Canna to utilize their abilities and the destruction or loss of this tool renders any advantages they might normally have moot. Their ownership of such priceless artefacts also makes them a target for opportunists and bandits, necessitating constant caution in their interactions. Longshots are also frequently drawn into the intrigues between various Victran houses and treated as pawns in political and economic plots.
